Africana Studies Minor

Format: On Campus

Study the history, culture and contributions of people of African descent to better engage with issues of race, ethnicity and social justice. The minor consists of 15 credit hours.

Develop a broader understanding of the contributions and challenges faced by African people and gain valuable insights into racial and social dynamics in contemporary society. You'll learn through a comprehensive curriculum, with topics such as African history, African American literature, urban politics and the African diaspora.

American Sign Language Minor

Deepen your understanding of Deaf culture and enrich your knowledge of and respect for ASL and the communities who use it. The minor consists of 15 credit hours.

American Studies Certificate
American Studies Certificate

Format: On Campus

Explore a diverse range of American cultural topics through the American Studies certificate program. Gain a deeper understanding of a variety of perspectives on American culture, society, politics and history. Students must complete 15 or 16 credit hours in at least three approved disciplines. Requirements may be completed in one semester.
