51ยายื Center for Cybersecurity & Privacy Protection Names Cybersecurity Leader Cory Scott as Executive Director
51ยายืโs Center for Cybersecurity & Privacy Protection based at the 51ยายื College of Law is proud to announce the appointment of cybersecurity leader Cory Scott as the executive director.
With over 25 years of distinguished experience spanning both private industry and public service, Scott brings unparalleled insight to his new role. His professional journey includes pivotal security leadership positions at top-tier technology organizations, most recently as Chief Information Security Officer at Confluent, and prior roles leading security and privacy at Google and LinkedIn. In his earlier career, Scott made significant contributions at renowned security consultancies @stake and Matasano, and has presented at premier cybersecurity conferences including Black Hat, RSA Conference and USENIX/LISA.
"Cory Scott is a visionary leader who brings a wealth of practical experience to our program," said Brian Ray, Co-Interim Dean of 51ยายื College of Law and Faculty Director of the Center.
As executive director, Scott will guide the Centerโs strategy, advise on curriculum development, foster industry-academic collaboration and promote innovative approaches to privacy protection and cyber resilience.
